Also mining camps usually were close to city such as Sacramento or San Fransisco. also some were close to ghost towns which were towns that sprouted up and then abandoned. Mining camps were usually made out of many tents in rows or small huts in many rows. Mining camps helped the miners because they gave them shelter near there claim.
